Fed Up No Beef On The Bun Mr. Bins

Taxes
How can small business act responsibly when we have irresponsible leadership?
Pay your taxes is what we hear, and by the way there is going to be another 1%
tax on the sale on property here on P.E.I. which combined with registration fees legal fees and any other fees they can think up will in the end cost us 3%. I don't know about you but personally I can not afford to be Polarized further by the good old boys who mismanage our funds, It's time to be accountable.
The 35 million Polar foods cost the taxpayer of PEI is a small part of the disgrace and a wake up call, we can not afford the luxury of lining our buddies pockets.Unlike the governing bodies that run our country we in business can't print money, get the hell out of our pockets .
Pull your heads out of the sand you so called leaders of the community, if the money isn't there then don't print it and definitely don't spend it. We have an opportunity to create great things but in order to do this you elected officials have got to stop taking the attitude that it's our turn, no matter what the party. The rest of us can not afford you.

Not so cool

End O May

Stupid is as stupid does!
I ran into an old friend-my best friend at Beanz recently, we haven't talked in years! I wanted to say God! It's so good to see you, you look fabulous, I miss you so much, do you have time to sit and talk?

How you doing are the words that exit my mouth.

Am I cool or what? Then the immediate dry mouth that follows the uttering of such eloquent words and I am hopeless to continue answering only when spoken to.
As my friend walked away I get out the words "It's good to see you" And I sit thinking-what a goof I am! I am! I am!
I wish I wasn't such a goof

Spring On P.E.I.

May

I've been away from the key board for several weeks, went for a walk about without leaving the million acre farm.

I marvel at the beauty that surrounds me, The Island of Prince Edward, some nice A! If you haven't been here yet allow me to suggest the summer of 05, then to Moncton to see the Stones in September, all under one maritime roof.

The gallery is busy with shows booked until September. Dave Ward is keeping us on track in spite of ourselves, I'm sure Dave has never worked with a group as crazy as ours. We appreciate the efforts Dave puts fourth and apologize to him for our insanities.

My daughter Alexa has probably disowned me as she and I have not spoken in weeks. M.A.K. your father lives, in case you were wondering.

As for the rest of you art lovers, all I can say is "get involved" the way to a strong community is through individual participation. The destiny of a community is not a God given right it is a work driven right.

With this in mind allow me to congratulate the folks at the Arts Longa for their contribution to Charlottetown with the opening of the newly renovated Arts Guild building. Looking good, we salute you.

I have much to say about the cultural economy and the direction we should be taking to insure Islanders of a strong future. I live here, I work here, I am just one piece of the puzzle, my name is Kier and I am an artist.

All the news that's fit to print
