Old Wonds
Forgiveness is a big word, my friend Michael offered me an opportunity to experience forgiveness, to forget the past. Break bread with a friend of his and a one time friend of mine.
I wish things were different, I think of myself as open minded, pure of thought able to be objective.
I was unable to accept this offer.
Forgiveness is something earned and not to be given lightly in order to make things easier but from the heart. If the forgiveness has no substance then it is meaningless and should not be granted. I appreciate you Michael but am unable to forgive someone who has never asked for forgiveness themselves.
I am guilty of sins against friendship and for these sins from my heart I am truly sorry, I have been a jerk to the people I love the most in life.
As I said forgiveness is a big word.
