A Bit Of Our History

1997 the year we started The Kier Gallery
It was March 24th around 6 PM and I was bar tending in the pub below the gallery, Brennan's Pub to be exact.
A guy in a cowboy hat strolled in and said "I see you host open mic night tonight, can my buddies and I play?"
I answered "Don't know, Can you play?" " I'm Gordie Johnson and Were Big Sugar, were famous."
"Never heard of you" I answered
4 hours later I knew who they were.
I have to say I am in awe of the talent those guys possess. In the 28 year history of the pub It was a night of nights.

Great Guys Great Music

2006 Charlottetown Banner Project

The Kier Gallery banner project has been a great success thanks to Mike Curry with the province the artists and the city of Charlottetown.
In the first phase of the project we concentrated on Victoria Row.
The kier gallery donated the material the artists created the work the city hung the work and last but not least the province gave us the coordinator. It's a win win for everyone.

So how is everyone?

What's up at The Kier Gallery?

We had the pleasure of working with Gavin Sheen of IMAC on his latest film.
The bar at Brennan's offers a great backdrop for the project.

Marc is the main man here at the market. And yes ladies he is single.

The girls at the coffee counter are always trying to catch his eye.
