Art Talk presents Judith Scherer
At the Confederation Centre Art Gallery
Tuesday, June 12, 7pm
Scherer will trace the evolution of art from the moment of fleeting inspiration to the final consumable product in her discussion. Her presentation will include video projections featuring her multifaceted portfolio, which includes drawing, photography, dance, performance and music, and video installation.
Scherer was born in Zurich, Switzerland, where she completed Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich (Art College). She moved to P.E.I. in 1989, where she currently resides with painter Brian Burke. She has presented her work in the fields of visual art, performance and dance in North America and Europe.
Hosted by artists and curators every Tuesday at 7 p.m., Art Talks are free, informal discussions on art theory and history, artists and their work, and upcoming or current gallery shows. Everyone is welcome and no previous knowledge on the topic is required.
