YOU can now RENT the SHOW HALL!!
What to perform live? How about a play? Or maybe you need to fundraise? We have an opportunity for you!!!
The Souris Show hall has the capacity of 158 theater seats and, if neccessary, can add 20 more hard seats. We have canteen available and free tea and coffee during live performances!!
We can accomodate live musical acts, theatre, movies, seminars, and workshops. All at reasonable prices!! CHECK US OUT!!!
Rental Fees for live Musical Acts
$500.00 per show
Includes: includes sound equipment, lighting, Sound technician, 2 employees (1 box office and 1 canteen). (Any additional employees at a cost of $50. Per night.)
1 full day of theatre rental.
Rental fees for Live Theatrical Acts (Plays)
$900.00
Includes sound equipment, some lighting, 3 employees during play performance, 4 full days of theatre rental to set up stage, rehearse, and play performance.
If extra days are needed, the cost will be determined.
Fundraising with MOVIES
PLEASE NOTE: The movie rights cost 35% of the box office sales.
PRICES VARY. FOR EXAMPLE ONLY
Price is based on 2 nights showing of a premiere movie and total of 80 tickets sold each night at $6.00 per ticket.
Total box office sales = $960.00
Less movie rights (incl. gst), hall rental fee, and 2 employees (2 nights)= ($660.00)
Total amt. fundraised = $300.00
Tickets can be pre-sold prior to movie by the fundraising committee and at box office the night of the movie.
Up front cost of $186.00 to purchase movie and partial rights.

A Joyful Sound Choir Christmas Concert
Wrap yourself in the true spirit of Christmas, as you enjoy your favorite seasonal carols performed by A Joyful Sound. Directed by Owen Aylward and accompanied by Fran McBurnie, this delightful group originated in Souris as the Eastern Kings Chorale more than 25 years ago, and has made beautiful music ever since. Believe it or not it was in May of this year 2010 we opened the doors of The Souris Show Hall. I would like to thank all of you who gave of your time and may I say I am proud of what we as a community have accomplished. See you at The Show Hall.

Souris Cinema Project
The Elm Tree Theater group presented its 9th annual comedy theater event, Don't Tell Mother (written by Monk Ferris, and preformed with the permission of Samuel French Limited.) It was hosted at the Souris Show Hall on June 25th and 26th 2010. Maggie Haines direct the comedy.
